Downtown Elizabethton roads closed for Covered Bridge Days

Travelers in Elizabethton should expect delays and detours this weekend as the Covered Bridge Celebration happens. Many downtown roads, as well as the Elk Avenue bridge, are already blocked off. Specific closed intersections include East Elk Avenue from Riverside Drive to Main Street, Academy Street at Second Street, and North Riverside at East E Street. These roads, as well as some others will be closed to motor vehicle traffic until the celebration concludes on Sunday night.
