Kilgore submits legislation to dissolve Pound’s town charter

Southwest Virginia Delegate Terry Kilgore has followed through with the wishes of the Wise County Board of Supervisors and has submitted legislation in the General Assembly that will dissolve the charter for the town of Pound.

A collection of problems including documented questionable practices in the town’s police department, fines, and violations levied against its water and sewer operations, and a gutted town council have plagued Pound for years.
