Multi Million Dollar Economic Development Deal Discussed In Abingdon

More than 150 community leaders from business, education, and government will gather Wednesday in Abingdon, Virginia to learn more about a proposed investment in regional workforce development. Representatives from United Way, American Electric Power, Ballad Health along with local and state officials will discuss the proposed multi million dollar Hub and Spoke model for workforce development. Executives representing major employers will also be participating at the ten AM meeting at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center.
