Russell County Authorities Have One Burglary Suspect In Custody, Search Continues For Second

Russell County Virginia Sheriff’s authorities have one person in custody, and continue searching for another in connection to a suspected attempt by the two men to break into a Belfast home. The Sheriff’s Department is searching for 44 year old Ernest Scott Barton, wanted out of Russell County on charges related to previous residential break ins. Barton is described as five feet eight inches, weighing 160 pounds. Barton has black hair and brown eyes. The other suspect who was apprehended is wanted on other charges out of neighboring Dickenson County Virginia.
