Sheriff’s Department Seeking Grant Funding For Evidence Based Recovery Services

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department currently is operating without an Evidence Based programming and other recovery services that promote positive lifestyle changes within the county detention center’s population. But that may all be changing if County Commissioners later this evening approve appropriating 200 thousand dollars in grant funding to be used by the Sheriff’s Department for subcontracting with local recovery agencies that will provide Evidence Based programming to its inmates while incarcerated as well as assistance upon release.
