After Slowing, COVID 19 Rates Jump In Southwest Virginia

Two hundred and seven new COVID19 cases were reported in Southwest Virginia on Wednesday according the the Virginia Department of Health…and after rates slowed for a short time, those figures are once again on the rise. Wednesday’s numbers represent the highest rates in three weeks. Meanwhile, Southwest Virginia’s spread rates for COVID19 have more than doubled the statewide rate . The State’s health department also reported 64 percent of Virginian’s were fully vaccinated, in the southwest Virginia region that number is just over 44 percent.
