Commissioners Pull Plug On Meat Processing Facility Plans

A resolution that would have opened the door to the area’s first meat processing facility came to a grinding hault Monday night in Jonesborough. Washington County Tennessee Commissioners pulled a rezoning request for property owned by John Abe and Vickie B. Teague that would have allowed for the location of this areas first meat processing facility at property on Blalock Road in Teleford. However, the petitioners themselves asked commissioners to pull the plug on the request.
