Infrastructure Project In Downtown Johnson City To Continue, With Some Overnight Travel Adjustments

Underground infrastructure work in Johnson City is continuing in the West Walnut Street area. Overnight work at the intersection of West State of Franklin Road and West Watauga Avenue will impact traffic including during nighttime hours of travel. Besides West Watauga and Ashe Streets, Sevier Street, Ernest and Campbell Streets as well as intersections at Sevier and West Watauga Avenue and West Watauga Streets will be impacted by the downtown improvement project. Crews will be back in the same area for overnight work this coming Monday evening beginning at seven pm.
