UPDATE: Bristol doctor convicted of sexually abusing patients sent to prison

A former physician will spend several years in prison after his conviction on charges of sexually abusing patients at his Bristol, Virginia practice.

Shannon Finch, 50, was given a 5-year sentence but with good behavior and other factors, he could be released within two and a half years according to court information.

Initial investigations took place in 2015 and 2018. Finch was stripped of his state medical license following his indictment.
