UPDATE: Suspect in Bluff City standoff shooting arraigned in Sessions Court

A suspect accused of shooting a Sullivan County police officer on Friday has been arraigned in Bristol Tennessee Sessions Court.

Alan Stewart Coulter, 54, is being held without bond and has another court date set for February 1st.

Coulter was taken into custody following a 9-hour standoff on Riley Hollow Road in Bluff City. Sheriff Jeff Cassidy says the deputy hit by gunfire continues to recover.
