Virginia’s COVID Rate Surpasses Southwest Virginia’s

Southwest Virginia On Thursday, saw its COVID19 rate increase and the Virginia Department of Health is reporting the Commonwealth broke its single day record for the second day in a row with 13 thousand 500 new cases. The statewide rate surpassed the nine county southwest Virginia area’s rate a week ago, after Southwest Virginia had been reporting much higher rates than the Commonwealth’s for the last several months.
