Wise County teacher accused of inappropriate conduct with a minor

A middle school teacher for the Wise County school system in Virginia has been arrested after an investigation was started one week ago.

That’s when officers received a complaint about Tyler Jay Tibbs, 28, of Coeburn who is accused of inappropriate conduct with a minor.

Tibbs is charged with 3 counts of carnal knowledge and taking indecent liberties with a child in an advisory role. He is being held without bond in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.
