Victim dies in 2 a.m. shooting in Johnson City

A shooting victim has died after being struck with gunfire multiple times in a Johnson City motel parking lot.

A city police report said Justin Sturdivant, 37, died at the scene of the 2 am incident in the 2400 block of North Roan Street. The preliminary report says Sturdivant and Jacob McGlone of Scottsboro, Alabama had a dispute that turned physical. McGlone is charged with first degree murder. The case remains under investigation.
