Accounts established to help Chandler family with finances

Supporters have created two avenues that will allow people to financially support the immediate family of Big Stone Gap Officer Michael Chandler.

A GoFundMe account with a goal of $25,000 has been established this week to help with present and future finances that the family will encounter. Residents can also visit any First Bank and Trust Company location and submit a direct deposit to the Natasha Smith Chandler fund.

Chandler will be laid to rest at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Thursday in a private ceremony. He died from injuries suffered in the line of duty Saturday morning.
