Ballad Health reports COVID-19 positivity rate nearly surpassing community vaccination rate

Ballad Health released the latest numbers on COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations within its 21-county service area throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. As of Thursday, February 3rd, the COVID positivity rate, at 43 percent, draws closer to surpassing the community vaccination rate at 48 percent.

There are currently 427 people in the hospital with the virus, and 68 COVID-related deaths were reported in the past week. 89 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit, with 61 on a ventilator. Additionally, there are currently 7 children hospitalized with COVID-19. Read the full report here.
