Bristol Man Sentenced For Impersonating U.S. Marshal

A Bristol man, registered as an agent for an East Tennessee bonding company in 2021 is sentenced to more than three years in prison for impersonating a U.S. Marshal. 47 year old Bobby Rowe Maggard Jr., was representing himself as a U.S. Marshal in Sullivan County in 2021. Maggard used a fake badge and patch to intimidate people into telling the truth. Authorities also searched Maggard’s residence and discovered eight firearms, including Glock pistols, four AR style rifles and a tactical shotgun.
