Bristol Tennessee and United Way to distribute air purification units to households impacted by landfill

The city of Bristol, Tennessee has allocated funds to the United Way of Bristol to help low to moderate-income families acquire air purifiers due to fumes that drift over the state line from the Bristol Virginia landfill.

Bristol Tennessee Mayor Mahlon Luttrell says it’s not a permanent solution but these devices will hopefully provide some relief to those who suffer from the effects.

The units will be available to residents who meet income guidelines and are scheduled to be delivered on the week of Thanksgiving.
