Bristol TN Board of Code Appeals to discuss partially collapsed hotel

An upcoming February 6th meeting will address the partially collapsed hotel in downtown Bristol, Tennessee. The city had previously issued a demolition order as part of a codes enforcement action for the structure then The developer appealed that order. A court case earlier this year was settled by the developer and the insurance company. The developer will now appear before the city board of code appeals to present reasons why not to demolish the structure. The building located between Shelby Street and West State Street and was planned to be a seven-story Holiday Inn Hotel before partially collapsing in September of 2020.
