Bristol TN PD arrest man for sexual exploitation of a minor

The Bristol TN Police Department says a man has been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. Officers responded to the 1100 block of Broad Street on Tuesday in reference to a report of a possible child predator. Officers made contact with 30 year old Troy C. Clarkson of Bristol, Tennessee and Clarkson agreed to speak with officers at the scene. Police said during the course of the investigation, detectives discovered child sexual abuse material located on Clarkson’s cellphone. Based on that discovery, a search warrant was obtained for Clarkson’s residence and executed on Thursday. The Carter County Sheriff’s Office assisted in evidence recovery during the search, utilizing an Electronic Storage Detection K9. Clarkson was arrested and taken to the Sullivan County Jail and more charges are pending as that investigation continues.
