BWXT reduces amount of land requested for rezoning

Washington County, Tennessee officials said Tuesday BWXT has reduced the amount of land it hopes to rezone for an expansion to its Jonesborough plant. Neighbors of the plant said they’re glad some of their concerns have been addressed, but putting a facility dealing with uranium near a creek is still a top concern. BWXT previously said that the facility would be built outside of the flood plain.
