Carter County man charged in cyber child sex case
The Carter County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a child sex case.
Jay Ruiz, 21, was arrested and charged with one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor after officials at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber tip about a child sex abuse video clip being uploaded to a social media site.
The report said officers searched Ruiz’s home in Stoney Creek and seized several electronic devices that will be analyzed as part of the investigation. Ruiz is being held on a $10,000 bond.
