City Commissioners Approve 300 K Dollars For Gas Well Expansion Project At Bristol, Virginia Landfill

The foul smell wafting from the Bristol Virginia landfill was strong Wednesday morning, as strong as I have smelled the odors coming from the landfill less than a mile from our studios. Tuesday night, city commissioners agreed to provide 300 thousand dollars in hopes of smothering those foul odors emanating from the landfill when partially decomposed garbage seeps into the basin of the landfill and is released in the form of a very foul smell. A Study, conducted last year shows no health risk for the community near the dump.
