Despite Citizen Concerns Over Traffic, Costs, Johnson City Commission approves Keebler Annexation

Despite objections, and concerns voiced from Gray citizens, Johnson City Commissioners approved a long, sought after annexation of the so called Keebler property just off the interstate 26 exit at Gray. Among those concerns included traffic and the possibility of property tax rates going up to provide needed infrastructure in the area. Developers will now be meeting with city commissioners to continue working on rezoning plans for the 133 acres that is proposed for 350 single family homes and 120 townhouses.
