DEVELOPING: Human skeletal remains found in Bristol, Tennessee

The Bristol, Tennessee Police Department said human skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area in the 100 block of Industrial Drive off Weaver Pike.

Officers arrived just before 10 a.m. Tuesday and the remains were collected. They will be sent to the Jenkins Forensics Center in Johnson City in an attempt to determine a cause of death.

Police are asking anyone with information on this case to contact them as they make efforts to positively identify the body.
