Eastman Chemical Company reports earnings for 2025
Despite growing is recycled plastic sales, Eastman Chemical Company reported its lowest annual earnings in several years Thursday, and with the global economy remaining uncertain, the company plans additional cost cuts to try to improve the revenue in 2026. Eastman’s fourth-quarter earnings per share was 75 cents and its full-year 2025 earnings per share totaled $5.42, down from $7.89 in 2024. The company managed a major jump in production at its Kingsport-based “molecular recycling” process to create plastic of the same purity and quality as that made from fossil fuels. For the year, Eastman’s sales revenue of $8.75 billion was 6.7% below 2024’s total of $9.38 billion.
