Eastman sister biz Accoya to construct U.S. production plant in Kingsport

A sister venture of Eastman Chemical Company with existing production facilities in The Netherlands will have a U.S. plant constructed in Kingsport.

Eastman and officials with ACCOYA announced a $136 million project for a wood production facility that will create 50 permanent jobs in its first phase and hundreds of new construction opportunities for workers.

The company report said the new plant will help streamline Accoya’s operations in terms of production and supply paired with Eastman’s existing infrastructure.
