Employee Child Care Assistance Program makes is way through VA General Assembly
Relief could be on the way for Virginia families struggling to pay for child care. The newly proposed Employee Child Care Assistance Program is designed to incentivize businesses to pay some of the cost of their employees’ child care by matching the amount of money businesses contribute with state funds. The remaining cost of child care will be made up by families, not to exceed more than 5% of their household income. The Virginia Chamber of Commerce has said that the organization supports the legislation.
