ETSU could see significant infrastructure upgrades
East Tennessee State University could see significant funding for infrastructure upgrades if Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s proposed budget is approved. The Governor delivered his final State of the State address on Monday night and detailed his proposed state budget. A press release from ETSU Tuesday said the plan approves $19.2 million for critical utility infrastructure at ETSU, $7 million for capital maintenance and $2.5 million for upgrades at the ETSU–Eastman Valleybrook location. The proposal also featured support for ETSU’s main campus and ETSU Health programs. ETSU was one of four higher education capital projects in the state to receive Lee’s recommendation.
