ETSU scrubs actor/director Timothy Busfield from its website
East Tennessee State University has removed references to director and Emmy Award-winning actor Timothy Busfield from its website after warrants for his arrest were issued for alleged child sex abuse. Busfield turned himself in Tuesday in New Mexico. Busfield attended ETSU in the late 1970s, never graduated, but was given an honorary doctorate in May 2024. He also spoke at one of ETSU’s 2024 spring commencement ceremonies. Busfield appeared in “The West Wing,” “Field of Dreams” and won an Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in 1991 for his role in “Thirtysomething,”.
