Fatal Christmas morning house fire in Kingsport now under investigation

The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department is now investigating a fatal house fire that occurring Christmas morning. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department says a call of a house fire on West Valley Drive in Kingsport came in at around 6:15 a.m. Thursday morning. The caller said two people were still inside the residence. Deputies from the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and members of multiple fire departments and EMS crews responded to the scene. The report says two people died in the fire and one person was taken to a hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
