Federal Pardon issued for Congresswoman Harshbarger’s husband
President Donald Trump issued a federal pardon Friday to Robert Harshbarger Jr., the husband of Tennessee Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger. Robert Harshbarger, who like Diana Harshbarger is a pharmacist, pleaded guilty in federal court in 2013 to one count of distribution of misbranded kidney dialysis medication and one count of health care fraud. He was sentenced to 48 months in prison and ordered to pay restitution. A statement from Diana Harsharger to WJHL said “My husband paid his debt both personally and financially to society.” President Trump issued six pardons late last week and also included for former Tennessee House Speaker Glen Casada and his chief of staff, Cade Cothren, who were convicted on federal corruption charges.
