Final draft of Governor Lee’s school voucher plan leaked

Media reports have revealed the final draft for Gov. Bill Lee’s Education Freedom Scholarship Act that is set to give public tax money to families sending their children to private school. It did not reveal how much each family could obtain, but previous reports show it will be roughly $7,000 per student. The final draft did not contain any accountability measures as currently written. Lee has face criticism from both parties on the hill for lack of that accountability while supporters have praised the plan for parent choice for education.
