Greene County house fire fatality under investigation

A life was lost and a Saturday morning house fire in Greene County is being investigated. Greene County 911 received a call around 1 a.m. Saturday. The caller said the upstairs of his home was filled with smoke along with a bedroom on fire. Several area fire departments responded and quickly got the fire under control. Firefighters discovered the body of 66 year old, Scott Hollenbeck, in his bedroom. Hollenbeck’s body was sent to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center for an autopsy and formal identification. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and TBI are investigating the cause of the fire.
