Hardy speaks on the bus crash from Bristol to Nashville that nearly killed him

Country star Hardy was facetiming buddy Morgan Wallen when his tour bus that left Bristol Motor Speedway hours earlier went off Interstate 40 outside Nashville.

Real name Michael Hardy discussed the 2022 crash on a Rolling Stone podcast and told the host that he needed mental health counseling following the incident and suffered from panic attacks.

Hardy said the bus that the band took to Bristol’s Country Thunder music fest went into a ravine after the driver had a seizure causing it to roll over three times, leaving him with a fractured vertebrae and a laceration on his head. The driver of the bus identified as ‘Brian’ in the interview died in 2023 after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Two others on the bus were seriously injured and have since recovered.
