Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office unit involved in Monday crash
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that a crash in Bulls Gap on Monday evening took place after a Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office unit crossed the center line of Highway 11E and hit a car waiting to turn. The crash was reported on December 29 around 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of the Andrew Johnson Highway and N Main Street in Bulls Gap. The report said a Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Dodge Challenger was traveling southbound on Andrew Johnson Highway. The second vehicle was stationary on Highway 11E waiting to make a right turn. That’s when the cruiser crossed the line and made impact. The second vehicle was then pushed into a third vehicle due to the the impact. No injuries were reported and no charges have been filed.
