Johnson City man facing kidnapping charge

A Johnson City man is accused of holding a woman against her will for several days at an apartment complex unit.

A city police report said Cody Thomas, 32, was charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault following a call from Buffalo Ridge Apartments about a domestic situation.

Police said Thomas severely beat the victim, held her captive, and would not let her use the phone. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was able to call the police when the suspect left the apartment. Thomas is also charged with violating a protective order.
