Johnson County stand-off ends in arrest

A suspect is arrested in Johnson County Monday after a deadly shooting and a standoff. EMS and Johnson County Sheriff Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Cold Springs Road to find a person dead from a gunshot wound on the front porch. It’s believed the person was shot Sunday night or early Monday morning. Police blocked the road for several hours and nearby homes were evacuated before the suspect was arrested after a four hour standoff. No one was hurt during the standoff. Names of the suspect or victim have not yet been released. A weapon was recovered. The investigation is being assisted by the TBI.
