Kingsport Attorney Permanently Disbarred

In December a Sullivan County Grand Jury indicted Kingsport Attorney Jason Ray Mclellan on Felony charges of financial exploitation of an elderly or vulnerable person. On Wednesday the Tennessee Supreme Court permanently disbarred McLellan. McLellan’s indictment accused him of exploiting a 78 year old woman by making numerous monetary transactions to himself totaling more than 300 thousand dollars from her estate without consent. McLellan pleaded not guilty to those charges, but was unable to successfully defend the charges made against him.
