No four-peat: McClung sitting out 2026 NBA All Star Weekend Dunk Contest

NBA G League MVP and Gate City native Mac McClung says on social media that he is sitting out the 2026 All-Star Weekend Dunk Contest being held at the Intuit Center in Los Angeles next month.

McClung is the first NBA player to win the contest for three consecutive years and is currently on the roster for Chicago’s G League team the Windy City Bulls.

McClung surpassed the 3,000 point career mark Monday with a 40 point 10 rebound performance in a win over Oklahoma City.
