One injured in Bristol, VA house fire early Tuesday
The Bristol Virginia Fire Department reports that a man sustained non-life-threatening burns and lacerations in a house fire early Tuesday morning in the city. The fire was reported at a home in the 700 block of Portsmouth Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire and made an “aggressive interior fire attack,” and the flames were knocked out within minutes of arrival. One occupant sustained burns to his feet and lacerations to his hands and was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, which officials said were not life threatening.
