Police investigating attempted grave robbery in Eastern Kentucky

Police are searching for potential suspects in neighboring Eastern Kentucky in a case straight out of a horror movie.

The Bell County Sheriff’s Office reported a displaced headstone and disturbed gravesite that included damage to the vault and coffin. Investigators said two people were responsible for the incident off Highway 190 at the Gibson Cemetery.

Deputies reset the headstone and placed dirt back in the grave after evidence was collected. Bell County is located just west of Lee County, Virginia.
