Prosecutors: SW Virginia man traded vape for nude teen photos
A North Carolina man is accused of trading vape products for nude photos of teenage boys living in Southwest Virginia.
Federal prosecutors said Jonathan Avery Shumate, 53, tracked down the Grayson County children using Snapchat and Grindr and at one point in the investigation propositioned the boys for sex.
Shumate will be tried in US District Court in Abingdon on one count of attempting to engage in sexually explicit conduct with a minor.
