Roan Mountain State Park receives TDEC excellence award

Roan Mountain State Park received an “Excellence in Operations” award from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. According to a news release from TDEC, Roan Mountain staff demonstrated resilience and operational coordination when faced with challenges from Hurricane Helene. “The Excellence in Operations Award recognizes a park for distinguished achievement in strengthening the systems that support effective park management.
