Suspect in Unicoi County shooting considered armed and dangerous

Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley issued an alert on Tuesday concerning the search for a shooting suspect.

Hensley’s report said state and federal warrants had been secured for the arrest of Jason Daniel Vestal.

Vestal was reportedly involved in a shooting that took place Monday afternoon in the Canah Chapel community outside of Erwin. He is considered armed and dangerous.
