TBI Seeks 59 Million Dollar Funding Increase

A 59 million dollar budget increase, that’s the request the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations is asking Governor Bill Lee and advisers. The request includes almost 25 million dollars for a career path initiative assisting with recruiting and retention of TBI staff. The State’s Investigative Agency is also seeking more than 11 million dollars for one time training and equipment and a little more than ten million dollars to hire forensic services positions. The TBI wants to beef up its cyber investigations division with a two point two million dollar request as well.
