Thirteen people admitted to hospital after “slightly elevated” carbon monoxide levels detected
Thirteen people have been admitted to Ballad Health hospitals after “slightly elevated” carbon monoxide levels were detected at the ETSU Health Family Medicine Bristol clinic. ETSU Health and Ballad Health confirmed that the clinic was alerted to a possible carbon monoxide leak on Tuesday afternoon. Staff at the clinic called 911, and the clinic was evacuated. A joint statement said that managers at the clinic immediately began notifying employees, students, and patients who had been in the building, encouraging them to monitor for symptoms of CO exposure and to report to the hospital if symptoms occurred. Since the carbon monoxide was detected, Thirteen people were admitted to Ballad hospitals for evaluation and treatment
