THP: 2 injured Tuesday in Carter County crash

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says two people were injured after a crash in Carter County on Tuesday. The initial crash report says a 2009 Kia Rio was traveling southbound on Bristol Highway at 5 p.m. when it reportedly crossed the centerline into northbound traffic and hit a 2024 Ford Escape head-on. Both the vehicles drivers were injured in the crash and two juveniles in the Ford were not injured. The THP says charges are pending against the driver of the Kia.
