TN lawmakers continue school voucher debate

Gov. Bill Lee and some lawmakers continue to push the proposed Education Freedom Scholarship Act. If passed, it would offer funds to 20,000 students to attend private school or be home schooled. Tennessee would become the 10th state to pass some form of universal school choice legislation. Many school systems across Northeast Tennessee and the state have voiced opposition to such legislation, with many local school systems officially passing resolutions against the plan.
