UPDATE: Greeneville police official back to full-time duty after trial

The assistant police chief for the city of Greeneville was found not guilty of domestic violence following a jury trial.

A TBI investigation involving Steve Hixson was started one year ago after a complaint was filed in December of 2022, alleging he assaulted a family member.

Hixon’s suspension has been lifted and he has returned to full-time duty, according to a city statement.
