UPDATE: Jail’s air duct system was source of exit for Sullivan County Jail escapees

Three inmates escaped from the Sullivan County Jail Friday morning through the building’s HVA air vent system.

That’s an update given by Capt. Andy Seabolt as extra patrols were put in place around county schools during dismissal while officers continue to search for the trio that includes murder suspect Tobias Carr.

Carr is awaiting trial for the 2019 stabbing death of his wife Jennifer. Johnny Brown and Timothy Sarver are the other escapees.
